Meningie is located a pleasant 150km drive from Adelaide on the shores of Lake Albert. Its name is derived from the Ngarrindjeri word for mud. Meningie Area School  is an R - 12 school with a student population of 320 students. A dedicated team of staff and students work together to strive for steady improvements as well as acknowledging excellent achievement.
